ABOUT US

Lucidity is a space for art and philosophy — a place where aesthetics meet inquiry. We explore the unseen structures of meaning through image, language, and the lived philosophy of perception. Our work sits at the intersection of critical theory, visual culture, and ethical thought, asking what it means to see clearly in a world saturated with image and ideology.

What We Do

We publish essays, critical analyses, and visual projects across five interconnected areas of inquiry — Environmental Justice, Intercultural Communication, the Ethics of Mediation, Critical Animal and Media Studies, and Global Justice, War and Poverty. Each piece is an attempt to think carefully and honestly about the structures that shape how we live, what we see, and who we are.

Our Philosophy

The name Lucidity is a commitment. To see clearly is not merely an act of vision — it is an act of courage. It demands we look without the comfort of illusion, without the reassurance of easy answers. We believe that rigorous thinking and aesthetic attentiveness are not opposites but partners — that the best critical work is also, in some sense, a work of art.
